10 Things You Need to Know about ADRL Weekend at GIR

Get there early. Parking is $ 20. Tracks around the country have had to close up during the events due to being at capacity. No parking re-entry, if your car leaves the facility, you pay again for it to return.
No alcohol can be brought in to the facility. You can bring a six-pack (8 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 12 inches) cooler of water or soft drinks. Keep hydrated, there is a high heat index for the weekend. Drink responsibility. Wear sun screen.
92.7 FM is the track’s radio station. If you bring a radio you can hear the announcements even better.
Traffic can enter the raceway grounds from hwy 203 North which is the
main entrance, then proceed to the north end of the oval and follow the directions
of the parking staff, or traffic can enter from Old Collinsville Road by following highway
signs to “Orange West” and by taking 203 South. Traffic
entering from Collinsville Road to Orange West for this event will be directed in and out the same
entrance. Cars parking in the
oval will exit out the east side of the oval and move toward 203 working in a
one way flow. Cars parking on the west road will exit out to the South toward Collinsville road. As always
please follow the directions of the parking/security staff at all times.
Bring your camera. You're not going to believe the speed of these race vehicles down the eighth-mile, so you'll definitely want some evidence.
Illinois State Police, City of Madison Police and Fire Department and Speedway Security Staff all will be on hand to assist in making this a pleasant event.
Bring patience. Big crowds make lines for food, beverage and restrooms longer. There are food, beverage and restrooms spread out everywhere around the facility.
Be alert. Race vehicles will be moving all throughout the facility. The pits will be open during this event. Cars will be moving through this area throughout the event. The pits are a work area for the teams. Please be cautious and let the teams do their work on these exciting race cars.
ADA parking is subject to Illinois Highway Patrol inspection. ADA parking is available on the West Road and oval infield. ADA restrooms are at multiple locations around the facility. ADA seats are available on both sides of the drag strip.
